UNITS FROM THE Defence Forces’ bomb disposal unit have been called in by the gardaí as a precaution, after a suspect device was thrown at a home in Dublin this evening.
A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that the alarm was raised shortly after 7pm after a suspected bomb was thrown at the window of a house on Clonshaugh Drive in the north Dublin suburb.
A number of houses have also been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
It is understood no one was injured in the incident.
A unit of the Defence Forces’ Emergency Ordinance Disposal team is attending to make the scene safe.
