THREE PEOPLE ARRESTED as part of the investigation into the murder of 61-year-old Dublin woman Patricia O’Connor have been released.
Yesterday, a 73-year-old man was arrested in Co Meath and two women aged 19 and 38 were arrested in Dublin.
The three were detained at Bray and Wicklow garda stations under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
They have since been released from garda custody and files will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
O’Connor’s remains were discovered scattered in a 30km area of the Wicklow Mountains in June.
Days after the body parts were discovered, gardaí charged Kieran Green, O’Connor’s son-in-law, with her murder. Appearing in court in July, he claimed he was acting in self-defence.
